Jordan Peele has made plans for a new project coming in Halloween 2026.
Peele, best-known for the Oscar-winning horror Get Out, is set to return to theatres after a short break from directing, his last directorial project being Nope in 2022.
His production company Monkeypaw Productions has, however, produced a handful of projects since then, the most recent being 2024 action thriller, Monkey Man, starring and directed by Dev Patel.
Now, Peele has announced an updated release date for his latest directorial project, which was originally scheduled for Christmas Day this year.
Following last yearās strikes in Hollywood, the film was removed from Universalās release schedule. However, Peele has announced that the new release date for the project will be October 23, 2026.
Peele shared a post on his official X account, simply depicting the release date. Fans of the directorās work took to the comments to show their anticipation, with many being confused by the lengthy wait time.

Peele opened up about the project at the start of this year, calling it his “favourite” of all his works so far.
After a successful comedy career, Peele made his directorial debut with 2017ās Get Out, for which he received the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay, and numerous other nominations, including Best Picture and Best Director.
Get Out went on to gross $255.4million against a budget of $4.5million, and was chosen by Time as one of the top 10 films of the year.
Peel then produced Spike Leeās BlacKkKlansman in 2017, before returning to directing and writing for the acclaimed horror movies Us (2019) and Nope (2022), reuniting with Get Outās Daniel Kaluuya for the latter. He also co-wrote the 2021 sequel to 1992ās Candyman, directed by Nia DaCosta.
