Justin Bieber is back in the studio after three years away.
According to rising singer-songwriter and guitarist Mk.gee in an interview with The New York Times, he’s been working on new music with none other than Justin Bieber. While Mk.gee did not reveal much about their planned collaboration, he suggested that Bieber is now “searching” for his next phase in music.
Mk.gee added about working with Justin Bieber: āAnything that comes out of his mouth: Thatās pop music. You can really do pretty wild stuff behind that, just because it represents something.ā

Their collaboration isn’t all that surprising however, as Bieber has in the past posted several videos on social media of him listening to Dijon’s ‘Many Times’, which was co-written by Mk.gee.
Justin Bieber last released music in the form of his 2021 album ‘Justice’. He most recently featured on Don Toliver’s ‘Honest’ last year. BieberĀ revealed his diagnosis with Ramsay Hunt syndrome in June 2022 after he cancelled the opening stretch of his North American āJusticeā tour due to āsicknessā, and later cancelled the majority of his world tour.
In a four-star review of ‘Justice’ for NME, Will Lavin wrote: “Armed with a newfound optimism borne from a dark place, he understands heās better when heās tapping into his own experiences, projecting relatable human emotion and working out why heās here. Heās singing about the things he cares about: his wife, his mental health, social injustice and so much more besides.”
“With bangers, ballads and heartfelt moments, the hopeless romantic with a penchant for self reflection and tackling world issues is back. Beliebers rejoice!”
Most recently, Bieber and his wife Hailey welcomed their first child together. OnAugust 24, Bieber posted a close-up picture of their son Jack Blues being embraced by Hailey. āWelcome home,ā the pop star writes in all-caps. This follows up a post by Bieber earlier this month showing the couple out and about, with Hailey proudly sporting a baby bump.
