kara hello single release

K-pop girl group KARA have unveiled their new pre-release single ‘Hello’.

On July 16 at 6pm KST, the five-member act dropped the ballad track, which contains late member Goo Hara’s vocals. The group re-recorded the track incorporating Goo’s lines, which she recorded when she was alive. ‘Hello’ is out on major streaming platforms.

The song acts as a pre-release track to KARA’s upcoming special digital single ‘I Do I Do’, which they will release in full on July 25. The group have unveiled several photo teasers for the release.

‘Hello’ was originally intended for KARA’s 2013 album ‘Full Bloom’, but was later scrapped from the release. Goo later released a Japanese-language version of the song in November 2019 as part of her single album ‘Midnight Queen’.

‘I Do I Do’ is KARA’s first release in nearly two years, after they reunited and returned to the K-pop industry with their 15th anniversary special album ‘Move Again’ in December 2022. That release also saw the return of members Nicole and Jiyoung, who left the group in 2014.

Earlier this week, member Gyuri’s agency shared that she recently sustained a cheekbone and orbital fracture. As a result, the singer will not be participating in her scheduled activities for the rest of the month, and it is unclear if she will be involved in KARA’s promotions for ‘I Do I Do’ at all.
