Kevin Spacey

Kevin Spacey has sold his $5.6million Baltimore home for a significantly discounted price in order to avoid bankruptcy.

In June, the Oscar-winning actor cried during an interview with Piers Morgan after revealing he was broke and would have to sell his home to pay for his legal fees.

Now, it has emerged that the 9,000 square foot property has been sold to an anonymous businessman for $3.24 million.

“It is an iconic property in Baltimore,” Compass Realtor Sam Sheibani told the Baltimore Sun. “We were very interested in getting it, obviously not under the circumstances that it’s being sold, from whom it’s being sold.”

The two-unit, waterfront condo last sold in 2017 for over $5.6million to Clear Toaster LLC, a company registered by entertainment agent David Bolno.

Spacey has not worked in Hollywood since being accused of sexual misconduct by several men in 2017. The actor was found not guilty last year of all charges, and a US court dismissed a sexual assault lawsuit against him in 2022.

Several other lawsuits have also been dropped, and Spacey has denied all allegations. In May, however, 10 more men came forward with accusations of abuse in a two-part Channel 4 documentary about him called Spacey Unmasked.

In the interview with Morgan, Spacey said: “I have nothing to hide and I want to live a more open life than the one that I did.”

He later became emotional as he said his home in Baltimore is at the foreclosure stage and would be auctioned soon.

“I’m not quite sure where I’m going to live now,” said Spacey. He was also asked by Morgan how much money he has, to which he responded: “none”. He said he still owes millions in legal fees.

He continued: “I’ve spent so many years not wanting to talk about myself and avoiding questions about my personal life and my sexuality,” said Spacey, who identifies as gay.

Recently, Liam Neeson and Sharon Stone joined Stephen Fry and F. Murray Abraham in supporting Kevin Spacey‘s return to Hollywood.

“Kevin is a good man and a man of character,” Neeson told The Telegraph, adding he was “deeply saddened” to learn of new accusations against the House of Cards actor.
