Leon Bridges has announced a North American tour to take pace this autumn, in support of his upcoming album âLeonâ â see all the dates below.
Earlier this month, Bridges announced details of his fourth studio album, and shared the recordâs sun-drenched lead single âPeaceful Placeâ, which you can listen to below.
The album is due to come out on October 4 via Columbia and you can pre-order/pre-save it here.
Now, he has shared information of a North American tour for October and November, which kicks off on October 4 at Austin City Limits Festival and concludes on November 17 at Mexico Cityâs Corona Capital. Support at the majority of dates will come from Hermanos GutiĂ©rrez.
Tickets go on sale at 10am local time on Tuesday (August 20), and you can get yours here.
âI wanted to bring the magic and connection that made this record to this tour, so I felt it was important to pick the right rooms to play,â Bridges has said. âIâll be performing at intimate theaters this run with my incredible band. These are listening roomsâbeautiful stages that truly showcase the music and allow me to get back to analog instrumentation.â
âPlus, Iâve really missed playing guitar. Iâve got my brothers, Hermanos GutiĂ©rrez, supporting me on tour as well. The tour starts in Austin and ends with a truly epic night in Fort Worthâaka Panther Cityâjoined by my friend and Texas legend, Charley Crockett. Canât wait to play this record for yâall live! Hope to see you out there.â

Speaking about the new album, Bridges has said: ââLeonâ has been a long-time coming. I started writing pieces of it as far back as Gold-Diggers Sound. They didnât fit what I was trying to do with that album and I tried moving on. But I couldnât shake them because theyâre part of me. And, if Iâm honest, also because I think this is some of my most excellent work yet.â
âIn many ways, âLeonâ has been in the works since my childhood. This record is about simpler days. Itâs about time spent in my beloved Fort Worth and the experiences that made me the man I am today. Itâs soulful music in the truest sense â itâs imbued with my soul.â
âIâm excited to share these stories about my home, about nostalgia, about my upbringing, about where Iâm from, with all of you. I hope this music brings you back to your roots and your journey.â
The new project follows his third album âGold-Diggers Soundâ which came out in 2021. NME gave the album four stars, commending its ânew, vibrant, almost luminous aestheticâ.
In recent years, Bridges has been making music with Khruangbin, including two EPs titled âTexas Sunâ and âTexas Moonâ.
Last month, Bridgesâ track âChrome Cowgirlâ was featured on the soundtrack for the new tornado-chasing blockbuster Twisters â which features Glen Powell and Daisy Edgar-Jones.
