Hinds have today (August 16) shared a dreamy new single – check out ‘The Bed, The Room, The Rain And You’ below.
The Madrid-based indie duo – made up of Carlotta Cosials and Ana Perrote – have released the next taster of upcoming new album ‘VIVA HINDS’ via the latest single. It follows on from previously released tracks including ‘Boom Boom Back’, which featured Beck, and ‘Coffee’, ‘En Forma’ and ‘Superstar’.
Speaking about the new track, the pair said: “It’s a love song that has nothing to do with being with the other person or even whether it is reciprocated. We’re talking about the most simple version of it. Love is like a magic shelter that you can take everywhere with you.”
On the new track’s music video, they added: “We started this adventure of directing all the music videos of this album with a bag full of imagination and dreams. the friends, the bikes, the dancing, a business that never existed, the body guards of beck, and ice-creams, Hollywood, and surrealism and tiny houses.
“Very slowly we wanted to guide you and place your attention in what we really do: music. For ‘The Bed, The Room, The Rain and You,’ we wanted to finish the story with where everything started: recording the album.”

‘VIVA HINDS’ was written by both Cosials and Perrote. The LP features the band’s first-ever Spanish language songs and collaborations from Beck as well as Fontaines D.C.’s Grian Chatten.
‘VIVA HINDS’ is named in honour of the response from fans in 2015, when they were forced to change their name from Deers to Hinds after a legal threat from a similarly named band.
The album was produced by Pete Robertson (Beabadoobee), engineered by the Grammy-nominated Tom Roach, and mixed by Grammy-winning engineer Caesar Edmunds (The Killers, Wet Leg).

In other news, last year Hinds announced the departure of bassist Ade Martín and drummer Amber Grimbergen, sharing in an Instagram post: “You might feel as heartbroken as we felt, but luckily music has the power to heal an aching soul,” they wrote.
“We’ve been through something very hurtful but we’re gonna carry on: we believe in Hinds more than anything in the world. If you’re in, we are in.”
