Jet

Jet have made a comeback with their first single in 15 years, ‘Hurry Hurry’.

The Australian rockers have been playing the song live on their recent 20th anniversary tour in their home country, but the track has now got a proper release. It is coming out alongside the B-side ‘Un’avventura’, which features vocalist and guitarist Nic Cester performing in both English and Italian, having lived in Italy for the past 15 years.

“‘Hurry Hurry’ is our first single in 15 years and a little appetiser while we continue to work on our upcoming album,” Cester said. “We’ve been playing ‘Hurry Hurry’ live with a great response from our fans in Australia, we’re really looking forward to debuting it live at our overseas shows in Italy, the UK and the US.”

Jet’s new album is set to be released next year.

The band will also be heading out on their first UK and Ireland tour in 15 years in celebration of the 20th anniversary of their seminal 2003 debut album ‘Get Born’.

Speaking about the tour and their return to the UK and Ireland in a press release, vocalist and guitarist Nic Cester said: “’Get Born’ was a rare and unique moment of total planetary alignment where we somehow managed to capture lighting in a bottle. We’re all really excited to come back to the UK & Ireland for these shows.”
