With all tours and events grounded because of the coronavirus, artists have been using livestreaming to stay close to their fans. Today’s livestream schedule includes Erykah Badu, The xx’s Romy Madley-Croft, Torres, The Lumineers, and Meg Myers. Plus, Shakey Graves, John Oates, Taylor Goldsmith of Dawes, and Hiss Golden Messenger will come together for another John Prine tribute concert.

Mama Bird Recording Co. has announced a new livestream series called “Coop-to-Coop”. Each episode will pair two of the label’s artists to go song-for-song and interview each other, kicking off with beloved California songwriters Jenny O. and Vetiver, live from their respective homes.

“Pickathon: A Concert A Day”

Pickathon Music Festival has announced “A Concert A Day”, an initiative to help musicians and artist communities through the Recording Academy’s MUSICARES organization. During this time of hardship, with so many artists unable to tour and so many people stuck at home, Pickathon is opening the vaults to premiere one full concert a day for 60 days, streaming for free on Facebook, Amazon Music’s Twitch channel, and on YouTube.

“Live From Quarantine”

Alternative band Magic Giant are continuing to bring people together with the 3rd installment of their “Live From Quarantine” virtual festival series. “Live From Quarantine” Weekend 3 will feature appearances from The Lumineers’ Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites, Shaed, Jason Mraz, Meg Myers, Woody Harrelson, and more. The festival will air this Sunday, April 19th starting a 5:00 p.m. EDT. Fans will be able to tune in via a dual livestream on the Magic Giant Instagram, as well as each artist’s individual account.

“Live From Quarantine” Weekend 3 will continue to raise money for Frontline Responders Fund to get hospital workers the much needed protective gear. Actor Edward Norton, who helped launch the charity beneficiary of the festival, made a surprise appearance last weekend, thanking the musicians: “What you guys are doing by making it fun and giving everyone a little Sunday afternoon music and a way to pitch in is wonderful.”

Brendan Benson’s “Boy in a Bubble”

The Raconteurs’ Brendan Benson has announced “Boy In A Bubble”, a daily series of livestreamed solo performances. Benson will perform one song per day, pulling from all points of his storied career and premiering material from his upcoming solo album Dear Life.

Amanda Shires has been staging daily live performances on YouTube with her husband Jason Isbell. Past performances have featured songs from her collaborative project The Highwomen and a cover of Warren Zevon.

Diplo’s “Corona World Tour”

For the duration of social distancing/quarantine practices in the U.S., Diplo will livestream DJ sets from his house five nights per week. The streams will be themed in line with Diplo’s interests: “A Very Lazer Sunday”, paying homage to his group, Major Lazer’s, dancehall and reggae roots airing Sundays at 7:00 p.m. EST; a mixed-bag “Ronatronix” set Tuesdays at 10:00 p.m. EST (the name a throwback to the iconic Hollertronix parties that launched his career); country-flecked variety show “The Thomas Wesley Show Thursdays” at 10:00 p.m. EST; ambient “Corona Sabbath Fridays” at 10:00 p.m. EST; and a good, old fashioned “Coronight Feve”r rave Saturday nights at 11:00 p.m. EST.

Major publishers and record labels will allow the archived streams to live on YouTube and to be monetized by respective rights holders, with royalties being paid to all those whose music is played in the shows.

Erykah Badu’s “Apocalypse Two: The Rooms”

This week soul singer, songwriter and producer Erykah Badu delivers the third episode of her
Quarantine Concert Series, “Apocalypse Two: The Rooms”. This interactive experience gives guests
a chance to move from room to room inside her home, exploring and experimenting with different
genres of music interpreted through her catalogue of hits.

Admission is $3 and underwrite the high-concept production, as well as financially support the performers.

“Celebrating John Prine”

In a series he’s calling “Musical Everydays,” Rufus Wainwright is performing one song from his catalog everyday on piano. Early installments have seen him play “Grey Gardens”, “The Art Teacher”, and “Vibrate”.

“In these dire times, I want to share some music with you all from the warmth and comfort of our home in Los Angeles. Hopefully you’re at your homes with your loved ones as well. We have to stay positive and I feel that music and art are a large part of what gets us through times like these. It’s even more essential to be reminded about what it really means to be human: compassionate, caring, creative,” Wainwright says.

World Cafe & Royal Mountain’s “World Tour”
