Ludacris performing live on stage

Ludacris has assured fans he is doing OK after they expressed concerns over him drinking water from a glacier.

On Monday (August 26), the rapper and actor – real name Christopher Brian Bridges – shared a video showing him climbing down a glacier in Alaska to collect some water in a bottle.

“You know I’ve got a bucket list – or as I like to call it, the fuck it list,” Ludacris said. “I’ve never tasted fresh glacial water ever in my life, and this is a first. Here we go!”

After sampling the water, the artist shouted: “Oh my God! Oh!” In the caption to the footage, he said it was “so good it tastes like God made it”. He added: “Well, because he did.”

However, many followers warned Ludacris to be careful because glacier water may contain bacteria, parasites or viruses if not properly purified or boiled – despite its pristine appearance.

The rapper has since shared another video in which he explained that he was safe and healthy.

“For everybody asking me how that glacier water really tasted. When I tell y’all I am a water snob, it was the best-tasting water I’ve ever had in my life,” he told fans in the clip.

“And as I drank it I felt like every cell in my human body was being hydrated and rejuvenated at the same damn time. I had the greatest show in Alaska after that, [I’ve] just made it to Minneapolis – we got a show tomorrow.”

Ludacris concluded: “Listen, man – I’m here. I feel like Superman. Love to all the fans – I’m glad you’re all digging that. There’s different ways of life – I’m just trying to take y’all places, show you things.”

Earlier this summer, Ludacris surprised fans in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with a free performance after his gig was cancelled due to severe weather conditions.

In February, the rapper joined Usher at his Super Bowl Halftime Show to perform the hit song ‘Yeah!’.
