Madness

Madness have announced their very own ‘Hour Of Need’ award for fans who wish to nominate “an unsung hero in your life”.

It allows fans to nominate people who they would like to thank for having been there for them or others during challenging times.

The award, named after the band’s current single, will see winners receive two tickets to a forthcoming Madness concert along with travel, accommodation and a meet-and-greet with the band. They will also receive a special edition bookpack of their recent album ‘Theatre Of The Absurd Presents C’Est La Vie’, signed by the band for the person who made the nomination and the person that got nominated. A signed 2xCD version of the album will be sent as a runner up prize.

To enter, the band are asking fans to send a short video no more than one minute long explaining who they want to nominate and why by either posting on a social network platform of their choice, using the hashtag #HourOfNeedAward or they can email hourofneedaward@gmail.com with a link to the video.

The cut off point for entries is Friday, June 7 at 9am BST.

The band are set to hit the road for their forthcoming 19 date UK tour in Margate on June 14. It continues over the next two days with appearances at the Summer Sessions in Plymouth and Southampton.

From there, Madness will perform at outdoor venues in Newcastle, Lincoln, Edinburgh and more throughout the remainder of June and July, before wrapping up the final leg of dates in August.

These final three shows consist of a show at Audley End in Essex, a gig at the Custom House Square in Belfast and a final slot at Galway Airport in Ireland on August 10. Any remaining tickets are available here.

Madness’ last LP marked their 13th studio album, and arrived seven years after the release of their last record – 2016’s ‘Can’t Touch Us Now’. The band teased the release with singles ‘Baby Burglar’ and ‘C’Est La Vie’, as well as an intimate show at the Koko venue in London.
