Måneskin‘s Victoria De Angelis has teamed up with Anitta and shared her new debut techno track ‘GET UP BITCH! (Shake Ya Ass)’.

The Italian bassist has traded her previous rock and roll sound to embark on a solo project that focuses on techno. The debut track sees De Angelis collaborate with Anitta on the pulsing, high-energy song which blends bouncy techno with baile funk.

Directed by Simone Bozzelli, the track’s accompanying video sees De Angelis dressed in a vinyl dress and fur hat while attempting to reach someone by phone. A purple car drifts to up to her with Anitta walking out. From there, the two are seen dancing in a club, washing a car and having fun.

Speaking about her new solo venture in a press release, De Angelis shared: “My new musical project comes from my love for a soundscape that blends elements of club culture with Baile Funk, electronic, Latin club, and techno. As a DJ and producer, I love breaking away from convention by pushing boundaries and experimenting with fresh sounds, a vibe
that runs through both my sets and my first track. The sound I’m into is all about layers and crossovers.

“I’ve never really fit into predefined boxes, and this DJ journey is no different. For me, it’s all about exploring and merging different styles, bringing a raw, sweaty, and pulsating energy to the dance floor.”

Earlier this year, De Angelis kicked off her first DJ tour which has seen her take the stage in cities such as New York, Chicago, Leeds, Manchester, Berlin, Barcelona, and in Ibiza’s Circoloco at DC10. ‘GET UP BITCH! (Shake Ya Ass)’ marks the musician’s first release under her new label home Noted Records.

As for Anitta, the Brazilian star joined Kylie Minogue at the latter’s BST Hyde Park headlining show for a duet of Minogue’s 2001 smash hit ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’.
