Marvel has officially released two remixes of ‘Like A Prayer’ featured in Deadpool & Wolverine.

The classic Madonna hit features prominently in the new Marvel film and its trailer, with the ‘Battle Royale’ and ‘Choir’ remixes now available on streaming.
The former, which is score-heavy, features the film’s composer Rob Simonsen, while the latter mix is credited to the I’ll Take You There Choir.
Last month, star Ryan Reynolds and director Shawn Levy opened up about getting Madonna to agree to use the song.
“It did involve a personal visit to Madonna, where we showed Madonna the sequence where ‘Like a Prayer’ would be used,” Levy told Sirius XM (via People).
Reynolds added: “Also, let’s preface it with the fact that they don’t licence — that Madonna doesn’t just licence the song, particularly that song. It was a big deal to ask for it and certainly a bigger deal to use it. We went over and met with her and sort of showed her how it was being used, and where, and why.”
The singer gave them permission to use the song alongside notes on how to best use the track, Reynolds recalling: “She gave a great note. She watched it, and I’m not kidding, [she said], ‘You need to do this.’ And damn it if she wasn’t spot on.”
Levy added: “We literally went into a new recording session within 48 hours to do this note. It made the sequence better.”
Deadpool & Wolverine has become a huge success since its release, taking the record for biggest opening for an R-rated release after grossing around $205million in North America and $438million worldwide in its first weekend. Since then, the film has crossed the $1billion mark at the global box office.
Meanwhile, Levy recently revealed that Taylor Swift was never in talks to appear in the film despite longstanding rumours she could appear as Dazzler.
In a three-star review of Deadpool & Wolverine, NME said: “Where does the MCU go from here? With an endless loop of multiverse MacGuffins to fall back on, it can probably keep going as if none of this has happened.
“But if the superhero era really is finally starting to wind down, Deadpool & Wolverine will always be remembered as the film that started dancing on the grave first – to a Madonna song….”
