Kaytranadaâs last record, âKaytraminĂ©â, came out last year alongside collaborator AminĂ©. In a four-star review NME declared it a âcontender for the summerâs hottest albumâ.
It added: âBridging inventive production, confident lyricism, and delightful sonics, it shows off the genius and depth of their cohesive partnership; long may it continue.â
It ranked in 31st place on NMEâs top albums of 2023 list.
Last yearâs edition of the All Points East saw The Strokes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Walkmen and many more take to the stage. The Strokesâ set was described as âa brilliant balancing actâ in a four-star NME review, despite battling sound issues.
Stormzy also staged a career-highlight headline performance as part of his âThis Is What We Meanâ day. In a four-star review, NME wrote that the ârapperâs rainy returnâ offered a âchange of paceâ. It added: âA performance in two acts risks alienating more casual fans but ultimately pays off for Stormzyâs only UK show of the year.â
In other Kaytranada news, the producer recently announced a new album âTimelessâ with some star-studded collaborations including Childish Gambino, PinkPantheress, Anderson .Paak and more.
