Morgan Wallen has become the latest artist to have a phone thrown at him during a live show.
The country star was playing a show at Denver’s Mile High Stadium last week when someone threw an iPhone onto the stage from the pit. The phone hit Wallen on the arm and landed his feet, but he barely flinched. He picked it up, tossed it to the side and carried on singing without missing a beat.
It follows a spate of similar incidents experienced by artists last year in particular. Pink was left shocked at her BST Hyde Park concert last summer after a fan threw a bag of her mother’s ashes on the stage, while Bebe Rexha was injured by a flying phone hitting her in the face.
In late 2022, meanwhile, Harry Styles was hit in the eye by a Skittle thrown by a fan during a show in LA. Kid Cudi cut his headline set short at Rolling Loud that same year due to people throwing bottles and other objects at him.

Meanwhile, Wallen recently had to apologise for throwing a chair off the sixth storey of a rooftop bar in Nashville, for which he was arrested and charged with three counts of reckless endangerment and one count of disorderly conduct.
Per an arrest report in April, some police officers were standing in front of Chief’s bar on Broadway when a chair fell from above and landed just feet away from them. The establishment had only opened its doors for the first time two days prior.
“I didn’t feel right publicly checking in until I made amends with some folks,” he said in a social media post. “I’ve touched base with Nashville law enforcement, my family, and the good people at Chief’s. I’m not proud of my behaviour, and I accept responsibility.”
Wallen is set to headline BST Hyde Park in London tomorrow (July 4), with special guests including Riley and Earnest.
