Noel Gallagher has addressed a fan at his show who claimed he can sing like his brother and former Oasis bandmate Liam Gallagher.
The interaction took place during Noels’s gig with the High Flying Birds last night (July 18), during their headlining show at Robin Park Arena in Wigan. The frontman took the time to have a chat with a fan in the audience.
“You what? You’re the next best thing? Really? Who told you that? Your mum?” Noel asked the audience member in fan-captured footage.

“Right, well sort your fucking haircut out first mate… What makes you the next big thing?” he asked before laughing. “They love you? Well, they fucking love me more so…”
“Can you sing?”, he asked the fan before adding: “What do you sound like? Frank Bruno? No, who do you sound like? Who’s your favourite singer apart from me?”
It appeared that the fan said that he sounded like Liam, to which Noel replied: “‘R kid? You sound like ‘r kid?”, with his eyebrows raised before adding: “No, no. No one quite sounds like ‘r kid.”
One X/Twitter user commented under the video post writing “Has @liamgallagher seen this?” with Liam replying: “I see everything”.
The fan interaction between Noel and the show attendee comes a day after the frontman paused one of his gigs to roast a musician in the crowd.
In fan-captured footage of the moment, the frontman is seen speaking to a fan who attempted to hand him a CD of his own work, and soon ends up being jokingly berated by the Oasis legend.
“You’re in a band? You’re not in a band… what’s on the fucking CD then?” Gallagher is seen asking the fan. “You’re a solo artist? With a haircut like that?”
Elsewhere, last month, Liam told the crowd at one of his gigs that Noel was “still playing hard to get” regarding an Oasis reunion.
The singer is currently out on a special UK and Ireland tour to mark the 30th anniversary of Oasis’ 1994 debut album. He is playing the record in full at the gigs and airing numerous other tracks from that era.
To introduce his rendition of ‘Whatever’ B-side ‘Half The World Away’ – which was originally sung by Noel – Liam told the audience: “So I’m gonna dedicate this next tune to my little brother, who’s still playing hard to get.”
Liam also gave an update on the status of a possible Oasis reunion, following reports that the band apparently booked concert dates at Wembley Stadium this year.
