Normani has addressed the rumours of a potential Fifth Harmony reunion ā see what she had to say below.
Last October, former Fifth Harmony member Ally Brooke teased to E! News that the group were “working on something”. Ever since then, rumours have been circulating online that the group ā which included Camila Cabello before her exit in 2016 ā were making a comeback after going on an indefinite hiatus in 2018.
In a new chat with Billboard, Normani addressed the rumours head on, saying when asked if there was any weight to Brooke’s claims: “I don’t know. Not to my knowledge. But I definitely see that being a possibility in the future. That would be a special moment for sure.”
Her comments on a potential Fifth Harmony reunion comes after the singer revealed earlier this month that she āsuppressedā some memories from her time with group: āThereās so much that I donāt even remember because I suppressed it. Thatās just my way of protecting myself from having to deal with everything. But what I do remember is that it wasnāt all bad. Like yeah, we struggled, but it was also really beautiful in what we accomplished together.ā
In April, NormaniĀ finally revealed the release date for āDopamineā. Her first collection of songs since going solo, āDopamineā due for release on Friday (June 14) via via RCA Records. You can pre-save the album here.
The announcement came afterĀ she teased the record in January, saying it is āliterally the best music sheās ever madeā.Ā Later that month, Normani spoke further about the upcoming record, describing it as āa representation of [her] evolution.ā āFor me, this upcoming album is not just about music coming out,ā she said. āIt feels like a representation of everything Iāve gone through to get to this moment. The album feels like liberation, like a season of freedom. Not just because the record is finally coming out, but because itās a celebration of everything.ā
