It comes after frontwoman Heather Baron-Gracie confirmed last month that the band’s second album is finished.
Taking to Instagram to share the news, Baron-Gracie posted a short clip that features what appears to be a lake or pond followed by a closeup of a butterfly and a few shots of the singer laying on the floor.
The video concludes by displaying the song’s release date: November 10.
“I know youâve waited so long,” Baron-Gracie captioned the post, “and Iâm so excited to tell you our first single is out November the 10th IVE MISSED YOU ALL.”
Announcing that the album, the follow-up to the band’s 2018 debut ‘My Mind Makes Noises’, was finished, Baron-Gracie said that the Manchester bandâs follow-up “is just chilling on a hard drive somewhere”.
She also teased the album’s title, a three-word title starred out in a teaser tweet.
In a four-star review of ‘My Mind Makes Noises’, NME wrote: “Pale Wavesâ debut album packs a whole lotta love. âMy Mind Makes Noisesâ is an album that obsesses over break-ups and make-ups, as well as dizzy affairs and their bitter fallouts â purposefully telling the story from all different angles. Itâs the perfect record to summarise the bandâs rise from Manchesterâs little secret to one of the most adored new bands in the country.”
Back in May, Baron-Gracie previewed a demo of a new song, titled âSheâs My Religionâ. Posting on Twitter, the musician told her followers that she âjust want[s] new pw music to come out tbhâ before then sharing a brief snippet of the song, which she called a “gay anthem”.
The band last debuted new material in September 2019Â when they premiered the track âTomorrowâ during a gig in Glasgow.
