Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder.

Pearl Jam have cancelled more European stadium shows over illness – see what the band had to say below.

Last night (June 30), Eddie Vedder and co. took to social media to announce that their two upcoming concerts in Berlin on July 2 and July 3 have been cancelled, with refunds being available at the point of purchase.

In their attached statement, the band shared that the band have “yet to make a full recovery” after falling sick last week. They continued: “The impacts of this decision are not lost on us. We feel deeply that so many people spend their time, money, and emotional energy to get tickets and then to come see the band and it is heart wrenching to have to disappoint you.”

The band also shared hat they had attempted to reschedule the shows but to no avail, and hope to return to Berlin for make-up shows in the near future.

The new cancellations come just days after Pearl Jam had to withdraw from their London Tottenham Hotspur Stadium gig after members had fallen sick. Pearl Jam previously took over Manchester’s CO-OP Arena on Tuesday (June 25) and according to The Guardian saw Vedder struggle with his voice due to being ill.

Previously speaking to NME about the two London shows the band had slated at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium, guitarist Stone Gossard shared: “We’ll probably try to sprinkle in some new stuff every night, and we’re playing some of the hits as well. It’s a good show. The band’s playing pretty well right now. Everyone’s in good spirits.”

He also asked if the band would ever be down to play at Glastonbury and responded with: “I don’t know the answer to that question. I know that we’ve never played before. I think maybe there was an offer a long time ago, but I don’t know that for sure. My impression of it is it’s been a very impactful festival for England in particular. I know that there’s been some amazing breakout performances there. But I haven’t kept up with it that much. Dua Lipa, right?”
