Quentin Tarantino has shared some of his literary favourites while promoting his debut novel Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.

The filmmaker listed his recommendations while speaking on The Big Picture podcast. Alongside his reading list the filmmaker also spoke about his plans to release another novel, which is adapted from his breakthrough film Reservoir Dogs.
“I can definitely see the idea of a Reservoir Dogs novel,” he said. “That could be really cool. And then [Iām working on] an original. Itās kinda pulpy. Iāve got a western idea, and Iāve written about two chapters of an original western novel.”

During the interview Tarantino expressed interest in adapting films that aren’t his own into books.
āWhat Iād like to do, though, at some point, is find a movie thatās not mine and do a novelisation,” he said. “It has to be something that I could really go my own way, but not completely upend the apple cart.ā
The filmmaker also confirmed that his second book, a pieced of non-fiction called Cinema Speculation, is almost complete.
āI made a two-book deal,ā he said. āThatās the next one coming outā¦Iām almost done with it.ā

Tarantino revealed that heās next planning to turn his latest film into a play before thinking about his final feature film.
āBelieve it or not, Iāve written a play version of [Once Upon A Time in Hollywood],ā he said.
āI wanted to write a play, and stuff thatās not in the bookā¦I wanted it to exist as a play. And again, Iām able to explore stuff thatās not in the [movie]. The play deals with Italy.ā
Elsewhere, Tarantino has suggested he was left somewhat confused by Christopher Nolanās latest filmĀ Tenet.
āI think I need to see it again,ā he toldĀ ReelBlend. ā[Laughs] I think I need to see it again.ā
