Scooter Braun has poked fun at the fact he wasn’t invited to Taylor Swift’s recent star-studded beach party.

The hit manager and music mogul took to social media earlier this week to joke about the fact he wasn’t invited to the celebration following his yearslong feud with the singer.
Braun took to his Instagram Stories on Tuesday (August 27), sharing a screenshot of a TMZ article, which reported Swift’s recent beachside party that was attended by Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Travis Kelce, Patrick and Brittany Mahomes and more. “How was I not invited to this?!?” he wrote, as well as sharing the hashtag, “#laughalittle.”
Braun first rose to fame in 2008 after helping launch the career of a then-12-year-old Bieber, after seeing him performing on YouTube, and has gone on to represent him for 15 years. In recent times, however, Braun faced controversy after apparently denying Swift her masters’ recordings.
The feud between the two began in 2019 when he bought her former record label Big Machine for $300 million (£227million) through his investment group Ithaca Holdings.

The story then hit headlines again in late 2020 after Swift confirmed that the ownership of her back catalogue has changed hands again for the second time within two years. She also shared a statement in which she said that the master recordings “were not for sale to me” and confirmed that she believed the deal “stripped me of my life’s work”.
Back in 2022, Braun addressed the issue, saying: “I think a lot of things got lost in translation. I think that when you have a conflict with someone, it’s very hard to resolve it if you’re not willing to have a conversation.”
Swift would later share re-recorded versions of the albums as ‘Taylor’s Version’, which she had full rights over. These have included ‘Fearless (Taylor’s Version)’, ‘Red (Taylor’s Version)’, 1989 (Taylor’s Version)’ and more, and came with a host of outtakes and unreleased songs attached.
Last year, in response to reports of a host of his artists seeking new management, Braun shared a short and jokey response on X/Twitter and wrote: “Breaking news… I’m no longer managing myself.”
That same year, it was reported that the mogul had regrets about how he handled the sale of Taylor Swift‘s master recordings, and in June it was reported that Braun announced his retirement from managing his superstar clients and would be taking on a new role as a CEO.
The comments regarding Swift’s recent beach party don’t mark the first time that Braun has mentioned the ‘Bad Blood’ singer since the feud. As reported by Billboard, in 2019 – around the time when he purchased her masters – he briefly reposted a friend’s congratulations that read, “When your friend buys Taylor Swift!!!”
That same year Swift then called Braun out for his years-long “incessant, manipulative bullying” after he shared a photo of a FaceTime call with Justin Bieber Kanye West with the caption: “Taylor swift what up.”
“You’d think after his previous posts about her he’d learn by now,” an industry source reportedly told Billboard regarding Braun’s latest posts about Swift, adding: “It’s like he’s obsessed.”
Earlier this summer a two-episode docuseries titled Taylor Swift Vs Scooter Braun: Bad Blood, premiered on Discovery+ – exploring the dispute and the lead-up to Swift’s re-recording decision.
