One of the collectibles in the first Hellblade was Hidden Faces which were embedded within cliffs and rocks in the environment. In that first game, they didn’t give you any achievements or anything beyond a few interesting audio logs. However, finding the Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 Hidden Faces locations is much more valuable, as it does give you an achievement, and the stories behind each hidden tree are far more in-depth.
Below, you can find an in-depth guide on each Hidden Face location, with images to show you where you should look to find them – as they can be pretty hard to see.
‘Senua’s Saga Hellblade 2’ Hidden Faces locations
There are 17 Hidden Faces scattered throughout the game for you to find:
Hidden Face 1 location – Chapter 2, Inner Village
In chapter 2, you will eventually reach the inner part of the village. This is after you solve the rune puzzle and the sky turns dark. Just ahead, you will make your way through a house. Directly ahead of you, to the left of the large bridge, you can find another smaller house. Tucked behind it, next to the flame, is the face embedded within the rocks.
Focus on the face and all the others below to unlock the paths. You can then do the same on the tree down the newly opened path to hear the story.
Hidden Face 2 location – Chapter 2, Village Cliff
After exiting the ritual site with Fargrimer, you will walk along a cliffside. Eventually, you will see a broken bridge with a white symbol on a rock next to it. To the left of that rock, you can find a path with the face.
Hidden Face 3 location – Chapter 3, Dilapidated Village Rear
When following both Fargrimer and Thorgester, you will reach a large open field with destroyed buildings. Instead of following them, take a right and continue right. Eventually, you will reach the end of this small section of the open field. On your left, you can find the face in the rocks.
Hidden Face 4 location – Chapter 3, Dilapidated Village Far Side
From this face, head across the open field to the exact opposite end. For a reference point, head back to where the field opens up and take a left instead of a right. Follow the crack in the ground, and you will find a face in the rocks on your left as the path curves around to the right.
Hidden Face 5 location – Chapter 3, Settlement Base
After you set off to find the Hiddenfolk, you will walk down to the base of the settlement. Continue along the path, and you will see a small path diverging to your left. The face is sat here. This is one of the easiest to find in the game.
Hidden Face 6 location – Chapter 3, Post-First Puzzle
Just after completing the first puzzle with the stone, you can look to your right to find another Hidden Face.
Hidden Face 7 location – Chapter 3, Post-Second Puzzle
After completing the second puzzle with the stones, you will jump down a few ledges. Continue down, and then, when you jump down the couple of ledges, look to your right to find a ledge you can climb. Up this path is another Hidden Face with a tree behind it.
Hidden Face 8 location – Chapter 4, Outer Cave System
As soon as you grab the torch in chapter 4 in the caves, you will shortly drop down from a ledge. On your left you will see a wall. Head forward and look to your left again to find the first Hidden Face in this chapter.
Hidden Face 9 location – Chapter 4, First Flame Puzzle
When you reach the first flame puzzle in the caves, look opposite the flame on the upper ledge you are on. In the rocks, enshrouded in shadows, you can find the face.
Hidden Face 10 location – Chapter 4, Flooded Cave
As soon as you drop into the water shortly after, look behind you and walk to the back of the flooded cave. Here you can find the face in the rocks.
Hidden Face 11 location – Chapter 4, Hiddenfolk’s Cavern
Much later on when you have passed into the Hiddenfolk’s Cavern, fought the creatures, and passed the cavern over the cliff, you will see a lit cave with some floating rocks on your left. Just to the left of those rocks is the final face in this chapter.
Hidden Face 12 location – Chapter 5, Waterfall Stream
When Senua is shown a vision of peace by the Hiddenfolk, you will walk through a small stream of water. This comes from a larger waterfall above, but on your right, you can find the face in the cliff where the stream is coming from.
Hidden Face 13 location – Chapter 5, Cliffside Rocks
Early on, when walking with Astridor in Chapter 5, you will see her standing in front of this small squeeze space. Before going through, look to your right to find the face in the rocks.
Hidden Face 14 location – Chapter 5, Post-Cliffside Puzzle
As soon as you complete the rune puzzle on the cliffside, you will walk onwards. Look to your right to find the face embedded within the rocks. It is shortly after you pass through the gap, the rune puzzle is blocking.
Hidden Face 15 location – Chapter 5, Shoreline Puzzle
When solving the shoreline rune puzzle, you will need to cross to the second area with the boat in the middle of the stone beach. Make sure it is night by activating the droplet and then head through the gap in the cliff behind the boat. At the end of this path, you can find a lore stone. On your way back through, you can find the face within the enclosed part of the area.
Hidden Face 16 location – Chapter 5, Village Outskirts Entrance
In the village, after you see the vision from the Hiddenfolk, you will proceed onwards towards Astridor. Eventually, you will see a stick with some chimes on it on your right. When you pass this stick, turn right down alongside the houses to find the face lying within the rocks on your right.
Hidden Face 17 location – Chapter 5, Village Outskirts
The final Lorestangir is located just ahead from the last one. Head forward from the stick with the chimes, and you can head left or right to proceed. Take the left path, and up by the house, you can find the final Lorestangir. But, just ahead is a house, tucked behind that house on the left as you pass its right side is the final Hidden Face.
