seo in-guk ahn jae-hyun kwill music video

South Korean actors Seo In-guk and Ahn Jae-hyun have reunited in the music video for K.will’s new single, ‘No Songs Can Express Me’.

The new music video for K.will’s ‘No Songs Can Express Me’ is a sequel to the singer’s viral clip for ‘Please Don’t’ in 2012, both of which star Seo In-guk and Ahn Jae-hyun. Speaking about the reunion to Newsen, K.will said that he “thought it would be a good idea to film a sequel to ‘Please Don’t'” while speaking to Ahn Jae-hyun.

The original ‘Please Don’t’ music video starred Seo and Ahn as best friends caught in a what appears to be love triangle with a third character played by SISTAR’s Dasom. However, the clip’s twist ending, which the video went viral for, revealed that Seo had been pining for Ahn the entire time.

The new music video for ‘No Songs Can Express Me’ follows a chance reunion between Seo and Ahn at a wake, where they exchange numbers after drifting apart years ago. The pair then slowly reconnect over the course of the video, with a twist ending that you’ll have to find out for yourself below.

“There’s no breakup song for me / One that hides my feelings when I sing / I want to say that it’s killing me / But maybe that kind of breakup doesn’t exist anymore / There’s no other person for me,” K.will sings on the emotional ballad.

‘No Songs Can Express Me’ is the lead single of K.will’s seventh mini-album, ‘All the Way’. The record comes about six years after his last release, 2018’s ‘The 4th Album: Part.2 [想像; Mood Indigo]’. That record was the sequel to a previous album called ‘The 4th Album: Part.1 [Nonfiction]’, which was released in September 2017.

Speaking about his new project to The Korea Herald, the South Korean singer said that he had “prepared this album with the mindset that this could be my last physical album because releasing an album is burdensome”. He added that during its creation, he also wondered “if I needed to release new songs when I already have enough hit songs”.

In other K-pop news, South Korean singer Chuu, formerly of the girl group LOONA, has announced her upcoming 2024 ‘Strawberry Rush’ fan-con tour in the Americas, featuring concerts in the US, Mexico and more.
