A concert by SiR in Toronto was cancelled seemingly out of nowhere, with speculation that it has to do with the venueâs ties with Drake.
On July 18, he quote-tweeted a fanâs concerned tweet about his show meeting the same fate as his labelmate ScHoolboy Q, whose own show in Toronto on July 18 was also suddenly cancelled by venue History. âMy shit ainât cancelled,â SiR wrote.
Last Tuesday (July 30), he quote-tweeted his own tweet to correct himself: âThis shit didnât age well at allâŠ.â He then broke the news: âSo sorry to my Toronto fans. The show has been cancelled. Weâre working on rescheduling for a later date.â

ScHoolboy Q poked fun at the situation, telling SiR to âsing on the busâ home because itâs âover with youâ. SiR quote-tweeted with a laughing emoji and wrote: âThey DONâT like usâ, seemingly a stab at Kendrick Lamarâs wildly popular Drake diss track âNot Like Usâ.

He further fuelled speculation after clarifying that the show was sold out, but the venue decided to cancel it. âNot sure why,â he wrote. âMy apologies again to those that came just to see me.â
For those wondering, we sold that show out. It was cancelled by the venue. Not sure why. My apologies again to those that came just to see me.

The 2,500-capacity venue History, which is owned by Live Nation, is known as the brainchild between the concert giant and Drake. Live Nation has yet to respond to press queries about the concert cancellations for SiR and ScHoolboy Q.
Drake collaborator Gordo recently spoke out on the infamous beef. In an interview with People, Gordo maintained that Drake has âbeen past itâ since it happened.
âThe internet makes it seem like, âOh, that photo, heâs all sad and shit.â Thatâs just a bad photo from a bad camera,â he said. âBut because itâs him, itâs put under a magnifying glass like, ‘Oh, look at his eyes. Heâs looking a little droopy. He hasnât slept.’ But the guyâs been happy as shit, to be honest. Heâs chilling.â
Despite Gordo’s claims, however, it seems Drake has not yet shaken off the much-publicised battle. The rapper is reportedly working on his next response to Lamar, according to streamer and personality DJ Akademiks, while Drake referenced ‘Not Like Us’ in a recent social media post.
