During an interview withĀ Most Requested LiveĀ this month, SZA said she had ā100 or soā leftover tracks (via Hypebae) from the ‘SOS’ sessions.
āThere are still songs that didnāt make the album that I wanted to make the album, but thatās what deluxe and things are for,ā she explained.
āSometimes itās 10 songs that didnāt make the cut, so weāll see. Iām going to throw them all out there becauseā¦ No one can say I didnāt give the music. So when I disappear for another five years, there will be more. There will be more to speak for me.ā
The original version of āSOSā boasts collaborations withĀ Phoebe BridgersĀ andĀ Travis ScottĀ as well as a sample ofĀ Olā Dirty Bastard. SZA was said to have teamed up withĀ Lizzo on a song called āBoy From South Detroitā, but it did not appear on the album.
Lizzo did, however, secretly appear on the song ‘F2F’.
