The Boys star Valorie Curry has admitted that she wants her character to die in the final season.
The actress joined the satirical superhero series in season four as the far-right extremist Misty Tucker Gray aka Firecracker, who has since emerged as a major rival of Starlight and a new source of milk for Homelander (with the help of hormone-altering medication).
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter at San Diego Comic-Con, Curry shared her hopes for the fifth season, saying she’s keen for her character to be killed off before the final episode.
“I hope she dies. She has it coming from many people. She’s awful. She’s horrible. I hope she dies. I hope it’s not because of the meds, because that seems too easy,” she said.
Curry didn’t say exactly how she wants her character to be killed, but she did suggest that Sage, played by Susan Hayward, should be the one to do the honours.
“It should be Sage, right? It should be Sage, and then she should survive and have a spin-off. I hope she dies,” she said.
A Sage spin-off is not currently in the works, but fans of the Amazon Prime Video series are about to learn more about Jensen Ackles’ ageless character Soldier Boy in the upcoming prequel series Vought Rising.
Set in 1950s New York, the series also explore the backstory of Aya Cash’s villainous character Stormfront.
“It’s a twisted murder mystery about the origins of Vought in the 1950s, the early exploits of Soldier Boy, and the diabolical manoeuvres of a Supe known to fans as Stormfront, who was then going by the name Clara Vought,” executive producers Paul Grellong and Kripke said in a statement.
“We cannot wait to blow your minds and trouble your souls with this salacious, grisly saga drenched in blood and Compound V.”
