The Mary Wallopers have announced a headline tour of Ireland for this Christmas, dubbed ‘Seven Drunken Nights’. Find all the details below.
The Irish folk band, who released a three-track EP called ‘Home Boys Home’ in June, will see out 2024 with a string of live gigs in December.

They are due to play four shows at Vicar Street in Dublin (December 14, 15, 27, 28), and
will also be taking to the stage at the Gleneagle INEC Arena in Killarney (21), Cork’s City Hall (23) and Belfast’s SSE Arena (29).

The Mary Wallopers previously confirmed three headline shows at the Barrowland Ballroom in Glasgow for this December, as well as a wider UK tour for March 2025 – including a huge gig at London’s Brixton Academy. Find any remaining tickets here.
Next month, the group will support Liam Gallagher at his Malta Weekender along with the likes of Liam Fray, Blossoms and Jake Bugg. This summer has already seen them perform at Glastonbury, TRNSMT, Latitude and other festivals.
Speaking to NME earlier this year, The Mary Wallopers’ Andrew Hendy explained that “there needs to be a voice that’s giving the rowdy side of folk back to people”.
Reflecting on the crowds getting increasingly bigger at the band’s live shows, the musician said: “I think just so many different people listen to us – older people can reminisce over the old folk songs and listen intently, and younger people like us because they’re hearing it for the first time, and the young lads are hopping around with their tops off. So it’s a melting pot of people, but they’re all welcome.”
Meanwhile, Fontaines D.C.’s Grian Chatten has shouted out The Mary Wallopers in a new interview with NME – where he discussed there being “such a moment for Irish musical history” currently.
“That Glastonbury was insane for that: Lankum, The Mary Wallopers, Kneecap, so many,” the frontman recalled of this year’s edition of the Worthy Farm festival.
