Circa Waves nearly missed their festival slot in Germany this weekend but were saved when The Prodigy unexpectedly came to their rescue.

The ‘T-shirt Weather’ band were one of the many people impacted by the global IT outage that occurred when an update from cyber security firm Crowd Strike crashed over 8 million computers across the globe – including the devices used by airports around the world.

Circa Waves are in the midst of their summer festival appearances and were set to perform at Germany’s Deichbrand Festival on Saturday (July 20). Due to the IT outage, the indie band were going to have to cancel their appearance at the bash until The Prodigy came to the rescue with their private jet.

The English electronic group were also performing at Deichbrand Festival that night as headliners. They offered Circa Waves their jet to which the Liverpudlian group accepted.

“We were stranded without a hope in the world of making a festival. Like our guardian electronic angels the prodigy flew in and picked us up in a private jet. Without them we would’ve been stuck in Heathrow and missed our show, we can’t thank them enough! Long live The Prodigy,” shared Circa Waves in a statement.

In other news, The Prodigy recently announced details of a reissue of ‘Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned’ to mark its 20th anniversary.

“‘Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned’ is re-issued for the 20th anniversary on double vinyl August 23rd, pre-order now from the official store, XL and more,” the members wrote on X (formerly Twitter), sharing a brief clip of the artwork.
