The Struts have announced ‘The Grand Union’ UK and European tour with Barns Courtney – check out all details below.
The Derby band are now gearing up to tour in the UK this September, where they’ll be stopping by cities such as Leeds, Manchester, and Newcastle before finishing their tour with a show at London’s Roundhouse on October 6.
From there, they’ll also be visiting European cities like Paris, Berlin, Warsaw and Prague, with the EU leg of their tour concluding at Milan’s Fabrique on the 21st.
The Struts will also be bringing Aylesbury’s Barns Courtney as their special guest for their UK/EU tour. Courtney has previously toured with the band for their headline American tour for their fourth album, ‘Pretty Vicious‘.
Speaking about the tour, frontman Luke Spiller shared: “We are really looking forward to getting back out and bringing our best show to date alongside our longterm friend and partner in rock, Barns Courtney. It truly is going to be the hottest ticket in town.”

The Struts have just played Download Festival, which NME gave four out of five stars for this year’s edition: “At first glance, Download 2024 seemed to be marred by a range of factors that could have signalled its downfall – even festival boss Andy Copping admitted that it was the “hardest year” to secure a line-up and the team approached over “21 bands” to find headliners. Pair that with the threat of boycott in retaliation against the Barclays sponsorship and news that this year could be the wettest in a century, and the hopes of it coming out smoothly began to waver.
“Yet, against the odds the festival delivers one of its most promising editions in recent memory, and proves that it is one of the main events leading the way when it comes to creating opportunities for the next generation of headliners.”
The Struts released ‘Pretty Vicious’ in November last year, the follow-up to their 2020 album ‘Strange Days’. The band teased the record with its lead single, ‘Too Good At Raising Hell’.
“This record showcases each individual member’s strengths,” explained Spiller in a statement at the time. “It’s some of my favourite music, hands down, we’ve ever conjured up. It’s the record everyone’s been waiting for.”
He spoke to NME in 2021 about Paris Jackson teaming up with the band for their duet ‘Low Key in Love’, saying: “You know what it’s like sometimes in this business, especially when it comes to these kinds of [collaborations], you get put with people that have been recommended to you.
“But with this song, what I was really excited about was that we already knew each other to an extent, and had this mutual respect – and I knew that’s what was going to ultimately lead to something that was organic.”
