Concord, a PlayStation and PC live-service hero-shooter, is going to be taken offline tomorrow and everyone who purchased it digitally will be eligible for a refund.
PlayStation announced that Concord would be taken offline effective September 6, and anyone who bought the game via PlayStation Store or OlayStation Direct would be getting a full and automatic refund.
For PC players, Steam and the Epic Games Store will also both refund players, but if you bought a physical copy you’ll have to check with your retailer about what their policies are.

Concord was launched barely two weeks ago, August 23. It was claimed by developer Firewalk Studios that the game was in development for eight years. The studio was bought by PlayStation in APril 2023, but its future is now uncertain.
While the game’s July beta had underwhelming player numbers, people are still shocked to learn that a first-party PlayStation game is being shut down so soon after launch, especially as PlayStation has repeatedly stated its interest in pursuing live-service games.
“You guys remember when No Man’s Sky bombed on launch, but eventually found its audience and is now a beloved a game, still going strong?” asked JakVox on X (formerly Twitter). “We are now at the stage where that can never ever happen again. Games better be UNIVERSAL hits, or they will be executed. Dystopian.”
“What an absolute embarrassment the live service game model is,” wrote datnofact. “Launching a game is so fucking hard, and a bunch of incredible talent worked to bring this game to us. Firewalk didn’t deserve this and I hope that the team can recover and regroup from this,” stated the_ragespy.
