There are lots of tough enemies in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, but there are also plenty of crafty ways to best them, as one player recently discovered.

Reddit user MRKDGAMING built a machine in Tears of the Kingdom that could beat a Lynel to death, similar to those old rock ’em sock ’em boxing toys. The key new feature in Tears of the Kingdom was the Ultrahand, the ability to fuse different objects in the world together to create vehicles and machines.

MRKDGAMING was able to farm Lynels, tough, centaur-esque foes, by shooting them with an arrow to stun them in front of the machine, and then letting the machine beat them into submission. As the Lynel regained composure, the player would get Link to jump on them in an attempt to ride them. While bucking, it would remain within the machine’s range, still taking continuous damage from it and eventually dying.

Redditor PoopPoes provided a handy tutorial for anyone who wants to build this contraption themselves. “Put hoverstone. Put construct head on hoverstone. Put construct head on construct head. [Do this four more times.] Then build it from autobuild with zonanite so the parts don’t detatch And I’m pretty sure if you add more hoverstones it’ll do more damage. It’s based off the total mass of the vehicle or something.”

And there you have it, your very own whacking machine capable of beating most mid-sized enemies in Tears of the Kingdom to death. Great if you’re lookign to farm specific items.

In other news, the General Election is coming to Roblox, via the BBC. This is an attempt for the organisation to reach more under 25s with its election coverage.
