Travis Barker of Blink-182 performs during 2024 Lollapalooza Festival

Travis Barker has shared an update on new Blink-182 material – check out what the drummer had to say below.

Barker took to social media on Sunday night (August 18) to share an exciting update with fans, writing: “‘One More Time Part 2’ turned in mixed and mastered for you guys”. The update comes after he first teased “Who’s ready for ‘One More Time part 2’” in July.

Last week, before the pop-punk icons took to the stage in Detroit, Michigan, fans spotted a merchandise band playing seemingly new material from its speakers. Written on the side of the van was the date August 19, teasing a big announcement.

It is currently unclear whether ‘One More Time Part 2’ will be a deluxe version of their 2023 album ‘One More Time’, or if it will be an entirely new album, serving as the sequel to last year’s effort.

Barker’s tease of ‘One More Time Part 2’ comes after Blink-182 debuted a new track, ‘Can’t Go Back’, while performing live in Orlando, Florida in June to kick off their North American tour. Blink’s “One More Time Tour” marks the second tour they embarked on following the reformation with all of the original band members.

In a three-star review of the ‘One More Time’ LPNME shared: “Towards the end of the album, DeLonge asks a question many listeners will have in their minds as they hit play – “2023, who the fuck are we?” They aren’t all that far away from who they’ve always been – three friends wanting to make some noise and have a riot of a time doing it. Although they’re not exactly revolutionising pop punk, this was likely never the goal. Chances are, the fans just want the old Blink back anyway, and in 2023, they’re just as fun as ever.”

Blink-182 will headline Reading & Leeds festival this coming weekend (August 23-25), alongside Liam GallagherLana Del ReyFred Again..Gerry Cinnamon and Catfish & The Bottlemen. The festival is predicted to sell out shortly – visit here for remaining tickets.
