Megan Thee Stallion

Two of Megan Thee Stallion‘s tour dates in Atlanta were postponed due to water leak issues affecting the downtown area of the city.

The rapper was supposed to perform at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena on her ‘Hot Girl Summer’ Tour – with GloRilla in support – on May 31 and June 1, but the ongoing conditions meant the shows had to be rescheduled to tonight and tomorrow (June 2-3) respectively.

“After speaking with the Mayor’s office regarding the continued water leak issues affecting downtown Atlanta, the City of Atlanta is unable to accommodate the Megan Thee Stallion performance scheduled for tonight,” the venue said on its social media channels.

However, Thee Stallion – real name Megan Pete – hit out at the venue for how late-notice the cancellations were. Fox 5 Atlanta reports that the show on Friday was called off just an hour before doors, while on Saturday the show was pulled 30 minutes before fans were supposed to be let in.

“Y’all was acting like I could perform, and now you’re telling me, ‘Oh by the way, when we was trying to fix the pipes, we found another issue, and now some more shit is going on,'” the rapper said while filming herself inside the arena. “What? They’re playing with me.”

Earlier this week, the rapper’s attorneys responded to the “sensationalist” work harassment lawsuit filed against her last month.

Back in April, cameraman Emilio Garcia accused Pete and her management Roc Nation of harassment and creating a hostile work environment. He claimed that the Houston rapper had sex in a car in front of him while touring in Spain in 2022 and made “sexual and fat-shaming comments” towards him.

Garcia added that he believes Thee Stallion and Roc Nation later retaliated against him by reducing his work and eventually terminating him.

At the time, Pete’s attorneys Mari Henderson and Alex Spiro said in a statement: “This is an employment claim for money – with no sexual harassment claim filed and with salacious accusations to attempt to embarrass her. We will deal with this in court.”

In a report released by Billboard, Megan’s lawyers filed their response yesterday (May 30). Henderson and Spiro said Garcia’s lawsuit “consists almost entirely of falsehoods, misrepresentations of fact, and outlandish claims that have no basis in fact or law and no merit.”

Spiro went on to call the plaintiff “a con artist who is manipulating the judicial system to act as his publicist and bullhorn in a desperate attempt to boost his failed singing career while trying to tear down the successful career of Megan Thee Stallion.”

NME has reached out to Megan Thee Stallion’s representatives to comment on the ongoing lawsuit.
