Adele and Ed Sheeran

Adele and Ed Sheeran were spotted cheering on the England men’s football team last night (July 10) in their semi final clash with the Netherlands at the Euros.

England’s beat the Netherlands 2-1 in the semi finals – which secured them a place in the final for the second time in a row. It’s the first time the men’s team have reached a final on foreign soil.

Both Adele and Sheeran were spotted enjoying the game in the stadium. At one point, Adele could be seen nervously holding her hands together under her chin as she watched Kane go up to take a controversial penalty in the first half.

Adele was then seen humorously telling fans in the stand to “shut up” as they began excitedly shouting before the footballer had touched the ball.

After Kane scored, Adele jumped out of her seat cheering. Sheeran was also spotted in the same box.

Meanwhile, The Killers paused their concert in London last night to watch and celebrate England’s semi-final victory in the Euros with their audience.

During the penultimate show of The Killers’ six-date residency at the O2 Arena in London, the band stopped the gig mid-show to watch England win.

10 songs into their performance, Brandon Flowers and co. paused the concert to watch the clashing Euros semi-finals with the O2 audience. After England secured the victory, red and white streamers were fired to raucous applause, and the band dove right into ‘Mr. Brightside’ to celebrate.

The Killers aren’t the only ones who have paused a show to watch the Euros. Over the weekend, James Corden delayed the start of his play The Constituent to watch the penalty shootout between England and Switzerland, even bringing an iPad onstage before the show to commentate for the audience.

In other news, the O2 Arena announced London’s largest screening of the 2024 UEFA Euro finals this Sunday (July 14) and a free ballot for entry – find out more below.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan also took to social media to announce that Sunday’s finals will be screened at the O2.

The 2024 Euro finals will take place on Sunday (July 14), with England going up against Spain, and will be broadcast at the O2 Arena. The ballot for free entry will go live today (July 11) at 10am – you can enter the ballot here.
