Bruce Springsteen performing live on stage

Bruce Springsteen played ‘Seeds’ for the first time since 2016 during his show in Connecticut last night (April 12).

Performing at the Mohegan Sun Arena, The Boss gave a rare outing to the track, which was recorded during the 1983 ‘Born In The U.S.A.’ sessions.

A live version of the song from a show at the Los Angeles Coliseum in September 1985 was released in 1986 on the ‘Live 1975-85’ box set.

It was last performed at London’s Wembley Stadium in 2016. You can listen to the latest live version below.

He also gave tour debuts to ‘Lucky Town’ which is taken from his 1992 album of the same name and ‘I’m On Fire’ which also features on ‘Born In The U.S.A.’. You can listen to both below.

It comes after he recently enlisted Tom Morello to help perform two songs for the first time on his ongoing tour in the US.

Elsewhere, the Boss recently took part in Mark Knopfler’s star-studded charity re-recording of ‘Going Home’, which starred the likes of Queen‘s Brian May, Bruce SpringsteenBlack Sabbath’s Tony Iommi, Eric ClaptonRolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood and many more.

He also made a cameo appearance in a recent episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm, and announced details of a career-spanning compilation, titled ‘Best Of Bruce Springsteen’ – due for release on Friday, April 19 via Sony Music.

Later this summer, The Boss is set to return to this side of the pond for his 2024 UK and Ireland tour – find any remaining tickets here.

It has also been reported that The Bear and The Iron Claw star Jeremy Allen White is seemingly set to portray a young Springsteen in an upcoming film that will chronicle The Boss making his beloved ‘Nebraska’ album.

Meanwhile, he will continue his current stateside tour on Monday (April 15) in New York, before heading to Columbus, Ohio.
