Calvin Harris has teased a new collaboration with Ellie Goulding.
The anthemic unnamed track was recently tested out on a crowd on the island of Ibiza during Harris’ DJ set at UshuaĆÆa.
Posting a snippet to his Instagram page, Harris wrote: “Trying out the new one @ushuaiaibiza !” You can listen to the clip below.
Goulding and Harris reunited last year to release chart topping hit ‘Miracle’, which Harris said at the time marked the completion of a “trilogy” of bangers between the two including 2012’s ‘I Need Your Love’ and 2014’s ‘Outside’.
Much like their previous collaborations, the latest track sounds like another rousing dance number. No details of a title or release date have yet been announced.
‘Miracle’ was previously nominated for a BRIT Award for Song Of The Year alongside the likes of Raye, Central Cee, Dave, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Kenya Grace, Lewis Capaldi, PinkPantheress, Stormzy and more. The pair lost out to RAYE and 070 Shake’s āEscapismā.
They also performed the track at the ceremony at The O2 on March 2 and Harris won the best Dance Act.
‘Miracle’ was crowned the UK’s second ‘Song Of The Summer’ for 2023, just behind Central Cee and Dave‘s monumental collaboration, ‘Sprinter’.
Meanwhile, a new rumoured collaboration that was meant to happen between Harris and Miley Cyrus appears to have recently been scrapped.
Back in May, the Scottish DJ took to social media to share a video of a tranquil beach with the words “summer soon”. Harris further captioned the video: “not long now.”
Yesterday (July 8), however, there were reports the collaboration had been ādiscardedā with Harris deleting all social media posts teasing the track.
Recently Harris spoke about his plans to quit DJing soon. āI always said that once I get past 50, I canāt see me DJing,ā he said. āThe more commercial end [of DJing], it gets a wee bitā¦ a little bit suspect. I think Iād prefer to be in the studio making tunes.ā
āI think thatās where the majority of my talent lies, making something sound good,ā he further explained. āSo I would like to make other peopleās records sound good.ā
In other news, Harris also hit back at critics who said his Ultra Music set was āunderwhelmingā.
