Hugh Jackman attends the "Deadpool & Wolverine" New York Premiere

Hugh Jackman‘s first reaction to a pivotal fight scene in Marvel‘s Deadpool & Wolverine has been shared – you can watch it below.

The film’s director has taken to social media to share a clip of Jackman’s initial reaction to watching the climactic fight scene in the movie. In the clip, Jackman’s watching the scene on a laptop while in an airplane.

Jackman is visibly giddy with glee, as he grins from ear to ear, slaps his chest repeatedly and fights back bursts of laughter – all while looking entirely pleased with the outcome.

Check out the wholesome reaction below.

Deadpool & Wolverine marks Jackman’s first time reprising the character since hanging up the claws after 2017’s acclaimed Logan. It marks his 10th appearance as the character, and his first-ever as part of the main Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In other Deadpool-related news, the film has already broken the record for the biggest R-rated film opening of all time after taking $205million in North America, surpassing the record of the first Deadpool, and has taken a total of $438.3million globally.

The film has also earned the record for the eighth-largest filming opening of all time, as well as the biggest July opening of all time and biggest opening of 2024 so far.

Paul Bradshaw wrote in a three-star review of Deadpool & Wolverine for NME: “Despite the A-list distractions (no spoilers here), Deadpool & Wolverine is really all about Reynolds and Jackman. In fact, it’s really all about Reynolds – with Jackman doing a heroic job of playing the surly straight man trying to keep up with Reynolds’ sweary killer clown. The first two Deadpool films were funny and violent and original, but this one shows Marvel’s most gloriously inappropriate superhero at his very best and worst.”

In other Marvel news, while at Comic Con this past weekend, the company revealed that it will be revamping its next two Avengers films to focus on a different villain. Instead of Johnathan Majors’ Kang The Conquerer, the franchise will now focus on Victor Von Doom – aka Dr Doom – played by a returning Robert Downey Jr..
