le sserafim mtv emas debut performance 2024

LE SSERAFIM have made their MTV EMAs debut with a performance of ‘Chasing Lightning’ and ‘Crazy’.

LE SSERAFIM were the only K-pop artists present at this year’s MTV EMAs were held on November 10 in Manchester, UK. During the ceremony, the quintet performed a medley of ‘Chasing Lightning’ and ‘Crazy’, songs from their latest mini-album of the same name.

The performance was marked by an intricate choreography, alongside a large dance crew. “Performing in the UK for the first time was already amazing, and winning an award was beyond our imagination. We want to dedicate this honour to all our fans who have supported our journey,” they told Dispatch of the performance.

LE SSERAFIM were also nominees for three EMAs awards: Best Push, Best New and Best K-pop. The quintet ended up taking home the Best Push award this year, beating out other notable artists such as Chappell Roan, Teddy Swims and RAYE.

Aside from LE SSERAFIM, BLACKPINK’s Lisa went away with the most wins for a K-pop act with awards for Best Collaboration for her single ‘New Woman’ with Rosalía as well as Biggest Fans. BTS singer Jimin also won this year’s award for Best K-pop.

The girl group made a comeback in August with ‘Crazy’ six months after releasing their third mini-album ‘Easy’ this February. The recent record notably includes the B-side ‘1800-hot-n-fun’, which they debuted at Coachella earlier this year.

Alongside the album’s release, the girl group also graced NME’s The Cover, where they shared how the record is “about the struggles of loving something so much that you would do anything for it, and you would lose your mind over [it]”.
