Post Malone played an entire set of classic country cover songs at Stagecoach Festival last night (April 27) â check out footage below.Â
The artist was appearing on night two of the annual country festival, and he had sent out a phone number beforehand, asking for requests for songs that he could perform on the night.Â
The set included a guest showing from Brad Paisley, with whom he duetted on Paisleyâs âIâm Gonna Miss Herâ, as well as Vince Gillâs âOne More Last Chanceâ and Alan Jacksonâs âChattahoocheeâ.Â

Maloneâs other guests were Dwight Yoakam, who played his own âLittle Waysâ, and Sara Evans, who duetted on her song âSuds In The Bucketâ.Â

Stagecoach, which is held on the same Indio, California site as Coachella Festival, also saw a surprise appearance from Lana Del Rey this weekend. She joined Paul Cauthen for a version of The Righteous Brothersâ âUnchained Melodyâ.Â
Post Malone is having a big year, after being the featured artist on âFortnightâ, the lead single from Taylor Swiftâs all-conquering âThe Tortured Poets Departmentâ, as well as collaborating with BeyoncĂ© on the track âLeviiâs Jeansâ, from her album âCowboy Carterâ.Â
He has also been teasing his own move further towards the country genre, playing a cover of Hank Willliamsâ âHonky Tonk Bluesâ during a surprise show in Nashville earlier this month.Â
Back in 2022, Malone told Howard Stern that he had been considering the shift in style. âTo be honest, thereâs nothing stopping me from taking a camera or setting up in my studio in Utah and just recording a country album and putting it on fucking YouTube,â he said.Â
In 2021, Post Malone also performed two country covers of songs by Brad Paisley and Sturgill Simpson for the Weâre Texas relief fundraiser livestream.Â
