Leveling is one of the most important things you can do in Elden Ring. Until you hit the soft cap for the individual stats, upping your vigor, endurance, strength, intelligence, and more are key to dealing more damage and surviving longer. But, what level should you be at when jumping into the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC?
Thankfully, if you are already at the endgame in your playthrough, you should be ready to go. But if you are trying to speed your way to the DLC, you will have to do some fast grinding or go in severely underleveled. Here is where you should be at.
Ideally, you want to be somewhere between levels 120 and 150 to enter the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. The higher you are, the better. However, you also want to ensure you have reached the soft caps for some stats, like Vigor and Endurance, to be as powerful as possible.
When you are in the Land of Shadow in the DLC, you can continue to level up the usual way. However, you will also find Scadutree Fragments. These can be consumed to boost damage dealt and damage negation in the DLC area, effectively acting as additional levels up beyond the soft caps for stats.
So, be sure to search for them while you are playing, or else you will find the DLC much more difficult.
If you have been playing as normal, and are nearing the end of the game or the final bosses, then you should be more than ready to tackle Shadow of the Erdtree.
