The third season of hit K-drama Sweet Home has just landed on Netflix, but when can fans expect to see season four? Read on for all the details.
The apocalyptic horror series debuted in 2020 on the streaming service, when fans were first introduced to the chilling world of Korean creatures and monsters of folklore and mythology, as seen through the eyes of Hyun-su (Song Kang).
Hyun-su is a clinically depressed high school dropout whose family have been killed in a car accident.
When a strange monster plague breaks out and causes the downfall of society, Hyun-su is forced to work together with the co-habitants of his apartment complex in order to survive.
Sweet Home is based on the Naver webtoon of the same name, created by Kim Carnby and Hwang Young-choo. The show is written by Hong So-ri, Kim Hyung-min and Park So-jung and developed by Studio Dragon.
According to Netflix, season three of Sweet Home will focus on how the line between monster and human will begin to blur as humanity grapples with the newfound emergence of “neo humans” in a world on the brink of extinction. The streamer has also confirmed that the new season will be the conclusion to the Sweet Home saga.

Although the second and third seasons were commissioned shortly after the first run of episodes were released, it was only confirmed recently that this third run would be the final season.
Series director Lee Eung-bok spoke in a press conference in Seoul about the upcoming episodes. “I can say the third season is literally a comeback home,” he said (via Korea Times).
“It feels like returning home. It’s a story about friends, comrades and scattered characters encountering each other again.”
