young posse ate that

K-pop girl group YOUNG POSSE have released their third mini-album ‘Ate That’ and a vibrant music video inspired by Grand Theft Auto for its title track.

Set in locations inspired by the iconic video game series, the quintet drive through Venice beach when an on-screen prompt instructs them to steal a secret recipe from a donut shop. Chaos ensues as the group carry out their heist, which leads them into a series of break-ins and car chases to evade the police.

Oh, gobble up my bread / It’s givin’ 4+4 / Why count? Do quick math (quick math!) / Cleanly, ate that / Oh, gobble up my bread / It’s givin’ 4+4 / Why count? Do quick math (quick math!) / Yeah sis, I ate that,” they chant on the chorus.

In addition to ‘Ate That’, YOUNG POSSE’s new mini-album includes the tracks ‘Loading…’, ‘Bananas’ and ‘Umbrella’. The new record comes five months after the group released their second mini-album ‘XXL’ in March.

Formed by members Sunhye, Yeonjung, Jiana, Doeun, and Jieun, the west coast hip-hop-inspired girl group made their debut in October 2023 with their mini-album ‘Macaroni Cheese’.

The quintet are under DSP Media, home to co-ed K-pop group KARD, and now-disbanded acts like Rainbow, April and MIRAE. Girl group KARA were also previously under the agency.

In other K-pop news, The Black Label has announced the upcoming debut of their first girl group MEOVV. Headed by long-time YG Entertainment producer Teddy, the company is home to K-pop musicians like Taeyang, Somi and BLACKPINK’s Rosé.
