Gwen Stefani performs onstage in 2024.

Gwen Stefani has cancelled an upcoming show in North America due to an injury.

Set for later this week, the gig was due to be held at Hard Rock Live at the Etess Arena in Atlantic City on Saturday (August 17). However, according to a new update from the No Doubt star, it will no longer be taking place as scheduled.

She shared the news via a now-expired Instagram Story, telling fans that an undisclosed injury has led to her having to back out.

“As a result of a recent injury and in consultation with my doctors, I’ve been advised that I’m not able to perform on August 17,” she began (via Music News), going on to explain what the decision means for ticket holders.

“I’m so sorry and we are planning to reschedule the show as soon as possible. Ticketmaster will email ticket holders as soon as the new show is announced. Current tickets will be valid for the new date.”

The nature of Stefani’s injury has not been publicly disclosed, and a rescheduled date for the New Jersey show is yet to be announced.

The Hard Rock Resort also went on to share a statement regarding the axed performance on its website. “Gwen Stefani’s show, originally scheduled for August 17 has been postponed,” it read. “We are working to reschedule the show as soon as possible, ticket holders will receive more information at the email they used to make their purchase when it is available.”

As well as the slot in Atlantic City, Stefani has three more solo shows scheduled for the remainder of the year. These include a gig at the iHeart Radio Music Festival 2024 in Nevada on September 20, the South Star Music Festival in Alabama on September 28, and Live Out Monterrey in Mexico, on October 12.

It has not been confirmed whether or not these shows have been impacted by the injury. At time of writing, they are set to continue as originally scheduled. Visit here for remaining tickets.

In other Gwen Stefani news, two weeks ago the singer joined forces with Anderson .Paak to develop an anthem for the recently-completed 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Titled ‘Hello World’, it was co-written and co-produced by OneRepublic frontman and esteemed pop songwriter Ryan Tedder, and shared by the official Olympics committee.

Before then, No Doubt reunited at Coachella back in April for their first live show since 2015.
